Something else that fans found to be lacking in Halo Infinite’s multiplayer was a distinct lack of game modes. With some classic modes such as Grifball and Infection missing from the game for quite some time, it has many believing the game to be stale. With the extension of season one of Halo Infinite’s multiplayer as well, it seemed that it may be some time before new content that wasn’t another cosmetic pack was brought into the game. Recent leaks though, could prove otherwise.

The first rumblings of a Halo Infinite Forge mode were brought about in October of 2021, after a leak suggested that the mode would be incredibly deep and detailed. Forge is one of the most popular gameplay modes in Halo history, as it allows fans to create their own maps and game types, allowing for near endless creativity and replayability. With the creation of obstacle courses, unique game modes and more through Forge, it would certainly bring about some freshness to Halo Infinite’s multiplayer.
A video uploaded on YouTube shows what appears to be footage from the Halo Infinite Forge mode. With a huge map, similar to that seen in the campaign of the game, and plenty of tools for players to create their maps, it seems that Halo Infinite’s Forge will have a deep level of customization. The footage seen in the video doesn’t show off an incredible Forge creation, instead focusing more on the potential of Halo Infinite’s Forge mode.
For any Halo fan, it’s a relieving sight to potentially see the Forge mode in action for the franchise’s latest mainline entry. While some may be skeptical of the leaker’s footage, the YouTube channel that it has appeared on is known for unveiling scrapped and hidden content from the Halo games. Alongside leaked photos of the Halo Infinite Forge mode from a couple of days ago, it seems that the mode is perhaps closer than many first thought.
