Five-time world champion O’Sullivan beat Marcus Campbell 6-2 after fighting back from an early 1-2 down Tuesday, reports Xinhua.

O’Sullivan drew level at the interval thanks to a break of 58. He then won four on the spin, including 108 and 100 century breaks and will take on Robert Milkins in the next round.

“Marcus didn’t play anywhere near his best today and neither did I,” said O’Sullivan. “We both had to be patient and wait for something to happen.”

“I potted some good balls and made some breaks so there was a bit of fluency there but you could see Marcus was struggling; he can play a lot better than that.”

World number one Robertson defeated Li Hang of China 6-3.

Robertson said: “He’s a much better player than his ranking suggests and it was a really tough match. I started off great with the 141 but his safety play at the start of frames was of the highest standard and I couldn’t really get in to too much flow.”

Defending champion Selby crushed Stuart Carrington 6-0 while Ding, bidding for his fourth successive ranking event win, beat Ireland’s Fergal O’Brien 6-1. The Chinese player will play Ricky Walden in the last 16.
