However, not all Pokemon are capable of evolution, and they remain the same, no matter their level. This does not mean that they are weaker than their evolved peers, and there are plenty of non-evolving Pokemon who are an asset to any team they are on. In every generation, there are plenty of Pokemon that do not evolve, but are still worth catching.

Generation One

The Kanto region is the one that started it all, and its roster of 151 Pokemon are still some of the most beloved creatures in the Pokemon franchise. Over the years, the number of non-evolving Pokemon from the first generation has decreased, due to these Pokemon receiving evolutions in later generations. This includes Pokemon like Onyx, Mr. Mime, Jynx, and Snorlax, to name a few. However, a fair amount of non-evolving Pokemon remain. They are:

Farfetch’d Kangaskhan Pinsir Tauros Lapras Ditto Aerodactyl Articuno Zapdos Moltres Mewtwo Mew

Generation Two

Pokemon Gold and Silver were released in 1999, and it features the Johto region which is filled with new Pokemon to catch and train. The generation is notable for introducing an internal clock, and for allowing Pokemon to hold items. It also introduced the Steel-type and Dark-type, which balanced the game a little better and paved the way for a host of interesting Pokemon to enter the franchise, including Umbreon, Steelix, and Houndour. The following Generation 2 Pokemon do not evolve:

Unown Girafarig Dunsparce Qwilfish Shuckle Heracross Corsola Delibird Skarmory Smeargle Miltank Raikou Entei Suicune Lugia Ho-Oh Celebi

Plenty of Pokemon from this region do not evolve, and they are:

However, this time around, the day is split into five periods: Morning, day, afternoon, evening, and night. As such, players can expect tall buildings and lots of urban areas. Among Pokemon fans, Pokemon from this region are often accused of featuring lower-quality designs and less creativity than previous generations. However, there are still enough new Pokemon for everyone to find at least one critter they adore. The Unova Pokemon that do not have evolutions include:

The seventh generation is the last Pokemon generation to release on the Nintendo 3DS. The generation also does away with gym battles and instead has players competing in trials. Players also get to explore the sunny Alola region which features a laid-back society and Pokemon that take on Alolan forms. Some of the Pokemon of Generation 7 do not evolve, and they are:
