The first week of October 2022 saw four additions to the Xbox Game Pass lineup with Chivalry 2 and Medieval Dynasty, while The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season and The Walking Dead: Season Two joined the PC Game Pass lineup. Medieval Dynasty was notable for being an Xbox Series X-only game, one of the few that are available, even two years after the next-gen console originally launched.

Medieval Dynasty wasn’t the only Xbox Series X-only game that hit the Game Pass lineup in October 2022. A Plague Tale: Requiem found itself in a similar situation when it was added to Game Pass, made available only on the cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X, with no support for older consoles. First-person horror game Scorn was similarly a PC and Series X-only game.

The second half of October 2022 was particularly exciting for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Besides the aforementioned A Plague Tale: Requiem, the second half of October 2022 saw the addition of Series X-only game Phantom Abyss, along with a variety of older titles that were perfect for the Halloween season, like the Amnesia games and Soma. JRPG fans, meanwhile, were treated to the long-awaited Xbox debut of Persona 5 Royal, one of the highest-rated games of all time.
The last day of October that saw new additions to the Xbox Game Pass lineup was October 27, which enjoyed Frog Detective: The Entire Mystery on PC Game Pass, Gunfire Reborn across all Game Pass platforms, and day one survival-horror game Signalis on the cloud, Xbox consoles, and PC.
October 2022 was a big month for Xbox Game Pass thanks to these additions and the others that joined the lineup, but it should be noted that games left the service in October as well. In fact, eight games are leaving Xbox Game Pass after today, so subscribers should be sure to check them out while they still can.
