With the latest Summer Games event running until August 10, gamers have three full weeks to collect the new skins. This time around, even the epic skins are worthwhile, ensuring that players will want to keep up with their weekly challenges. While no support heroes get new skins in this year’s version of Summer Games, there is an equal amount of love for the tank and damage categories. For those interested, here are all the new skins in Overwatch’s latest seasonal event.

Mermaid Symmetra

Kicking off the list is the first skin revealed for the new Summer Games, and it sees Symmetra getting a special mermaid look. Alongside some bright blue fins on the side of her head, Symmetra’s Mermaid skin sees her with a tiara and long white hair. Some fancy blue arm bands are also worn, while her purple outfit fits her usual style incredibly well. However, the real star of the show is Symmetra’s weapon and gadgets. Her Photon Projector, Teleporter, and Turrets all take a squid-like form, with the tentacles on her tools making her look like a true goddess of the sea.

Poolside Ashe

The second legendary skin revealed for Summer Games 2021 is Poolside Ashe. In the skin, Ashe swaps her iconic white hair for some pink locks, wearing a straw hat on top of the new hairdo. She also wears a pair of orange sunglasses, letting her see clearly when out in the bright sun. Alongside a towel and red bathing suit, Ashe uses a squirt gun variant of her Viper rifle. Her shotgun also gets a makeover, while her dynamite is replaced with a canister full of water balloons. As for Bob, he looks hilarious in his Hawaiian shirt, with the pink flamingo floatie on his head being a real show stealer.

Sprinkles Mei

The final legendary skin revealed prior to the new Overwatch event going live, Sprinkles Mei sees the scientist taking on a new job. The outfit transforms her into an ice cream parlor worker, with a unique white and red uniform covered in ribbons. She wears an adorable hat on top of some wildly different blonde hair, while new appearances for her weapon and Snowball add to the look greatly. On her back, three flavors of ice cream can be seen, while the grip on Mei’s gun takes the form of an ice cream cone. As for her adorable ally Snowball, the entirety of the robot has been turned into ice cream. With the sprinkles on Mei’s leggings explaining the skin’s name, this outfit is a must-have for those who play as her.

Ocean King Winston

The first epic skin players will be able to acquire during Summer Games 2021 is Ocean King Winston. Given the fact that Winston has been so integral to Overwatch’s story, seeing him get some love with this Week 1 skin is great. After players rack up the necessary wins and complete the challenge, they can adorn the intelligent ape in a gold crown and blue, scaly armor. The white fur is a nice touch, as is the blue face. Given the sea theme, this version of Winston looks great alongside Mermaid Symmetra.

Sunset Pharah

Sunset Pharah is a neat epic skin, and players will be able to unlock it from the Week 2 challenge. It sees Pharah’s armor covered in some white flowers, with a cool gradient color scheme used that sees the red suit turning orange as players look from top to bottom. The Rocket Queen and daughter of Ana also has her hair in a bun, a new look for the character. A flower can also be seen in her hair, too, completing the cheery aesthetic. Some wooden textures seen on Pharah’s shoulders also extend to her gun, making the entire outfit look crisp.

Nihon Hanzo

The final epic skin players can collect in Summer Games 2021 is Nihon Hanzo, and it sees the archer rocking a white and red outfit. While this is undoubtedly the least flashy skin of the bunch, it does allow him to match his brother Genji. It also serves as a nice representation for Japan, with the pattern on the outfit being subtle but pleasant. A white bow matches the costume, and Hanzo fans should make good use of this skin once they are able to obtain it.

Referee Orisa

One special outfit Blizzard kept hidden until players actually loaded into Overwatch is for the tank hero Orisa. Efi’s adorable robot becomes a referee in this new skin, with the number four clearly visible on her belt. Alongside a “ref” patch on her arm and the traditional striped shirt, Orisa can very clearly be seen wearing a hat. An awesome touch made better by the fact that she is rocking a headset, the outfit should look particularly great whenever Orisa is using her Halt ability.

Scuba Sigma

Rounding out the list of skins is the gravity-focused hero Sigma. Despite being the oldest character in the Overwatch universe, the Scuba skin sees the character showing off his impressive physique. Alongside his abs, the mad scientist dons an outfit perfect for some sea-based exploration. Large blue floaties can be seen on Sigma’s shoulders, with some bright green accents also visible. The orange wires in his chest piece make the outfit stand out even more, though seeing Sigma with hair and a beard is the most intriguing thing about the skin. On his head, the tank hero can be seen wearing a pair of goggles.

Alongside these eight new skins, Overwatch players can collect some other cosmetics like sprays and emotes. The two new Overwatch emotes are particularly great, as they see a few other tanks getting some love. In the case of Reinhardt, the lovable German can be seen roasting some marshmallows above a fire. As for Wrecking Ball, Hammond can be seen entering “Beach Mode.” Once active, the hamster lounges back on his mech, sitting comfortably on a sun bed with an umbrella hanging over his head. just like the skins, players will have until August 10 to collect these entertaining items.

Overwatch is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
