While some couples like Tre and Tahzjuan, and Joe and Serena are currently fairly rock-solid, other couples are turning their heads more than at a Wimbledon final.

Episode 3, for example, saw our first major couple upset as Maurissa upgraded her sensitive romance with Connor B. for a night of steamy passion with a new arrival.

Here’s how the couples stand as of the first rose ceremony and the events of Episode 3.

All the Bachelor in Paradise couples

Joe and Serena

“Grocery Store” Joe Amabile (from Becca’s season and BiP Season 5) comes to this season after his last Bachelor in Paradise relationship ended, but initially looked like an early out as he seemed to not be over Kendall Long.

That changed, however, when he started to get close to Serena Pitt (Matt’s season). The pair have developed a bond over the first week that was not challenged when Thomas Jacobs (Katie’s season) arrived in Paradise and asked for a date with her.

Tré and Tahzjuan

In the first two episodes, Tré Cooper from Katie’s season developed a connection with Tahzjuan Hawkins from both Colton’s Bachelor season and the last season of BiP— before she left that show following a heat-caused meltdown.

However, Tahz came into the show saying she hoped to meet Riley Christian—who, of course, turned up a few days later. Tré better watch out, even if Riley seems to have more of an eye on Maurissa…

Riley and Maurissa

In the early episodes, Maurissa Gunn (Peter’s season) seemed to be coupling up with Connor Brennan, the cat-suited singer-songwriter from Katie’s season.

That all changed, however, when Riley (Clare and Tayshia’s season) entered Paradise and asked Maurissa on a date. The pair became the first of this season to use the “boom boom room”—unbeknownst to Connor, who spent much of their date with his ukulele on the beach.

Brendan and Natasha

One of the couples currently on the shakiest ground are Brendan Morais (from the Clare and Tayshia Bachelorette season) and Natasha Parker (Peter’s Bachelor season). The pair have not kissed yet—and Brendan spent most of the last episode defending himself from rumors that he is dating Pieper James (from Matt’s season) in the outside world.

Ivan and Jessenia

One of the Paradise couples with the least drama around them right now are Ivan Hall from Clare and Tayshia’s season, and Jessenia Cruz from Matt’s. The pair are currently very much in the honeymoon phase, with the two seeming to share a genuine connection when they discussed the reactions to the racism they experienced from Bachelor Nation —though it remains to be seen what the Bachelor in Paradise producers can throw at them to try and break this harmony.

Karl and Deandra

Karl Smith was very much painted as one of the villains of Kate’s season, but so far he and his relationship with Deandra Kanu (Peter’s season) has been painted fairly positively on this season.

James and Demi

James Bonsall (Katie’s season) had been coupled with Victoria Paul (Peter’s season) until Tammy dropped the truth bomb that she may have a boyfriend back home. This led to a series of confrontations that eventually led to Victoria going home.

With Victoria out, James gave his rose to Demi Burnett (Colton’s season and BiP Season 6), but there has been no real romantic spark between the two yet.

In the first rose ceremony on Episode 2, the following couples were also established:

Aaron Clancy (Kattie’s season) and Tammy Ly (Peter’s season)Kenny Braasch (Clare and Tayshia’s season) and Mari Pepin (Matt’s season)Noah Erb (Clare and Tayshia’s season) and Abigail Heringer (Matt’s season)

Bachelor in Paradise Season 7 airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT on ABC and the next day on Hulu.
