According to India Today, the Indian streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar will release movies like Laxxmi Bomb, Sadak 2 and Bhuj: The Pride of India in the coming weeks. These movies will then be available to watch on other streaming services and digital entertainment stores in the US.

According to India Today, the following movies are coming soon to the streamer:

Dil Bechara

Sushant Singh Rajput’s death by an apparent suicide has made headlines all over the world, with Bollywood fans paying tribute to the young actor. Before his death, the actor made a final film, originally due to be released on May 8. Dil Bechara (The Helpless Heart) is a Hindi-language remake of The Fault in Our Stars, a love story between a young man and a woman with thyroid cancer.

Laxmmi Bomb

The comedy horror film, a remake of Tamil movie Muni 2, is coming to the streamer on Indian Independence Day on August 15. The movie stars Akshay Kumar as Raaghav, a man who becomes possessed by the spirit of a transgender woman who wants revenge on the people who murdered her and stole her land.

Sadak 2

The long-awaited sequel to the 1991 classic, which was inspired by the Hollywood movie Taxi Driver. While the first movie saw taxi driver Ravi (Sanjay Dutt) trying to save Pooja (Pooja Bhatt) from a brothel, the sequel sees him team up with another young girl to expose a fake guru. The movie was originally set to be released on July 11 in cinemas.

Bhuj: The Pride of India

Set in the 1971 India-Pakistan war, Bhuj sees Ajay Devgn play an IAF squadron leader trying to rebuild an airbase with the help of an army of local women.

The Big Bull

Originally set for an October release, The Big Bull tells the true-life story of stockbroker Harshad Mehta (played by Abhishek Bachchan) and his financial crimes during the 1992 Indian stock market scam.

Mimi

Starring Kriti Sanon as a surrogate mother, Mimi is based on a 2011 Marathi movie about the practice of Indian women having babies for foreign couples. Mimi was originally set to come to cinemas in July.

Shiddat

Love story Shiddat will focus on the journeys of two couples. Director Dinesh Vijan said of the movie: “In our day and age where love is taken so lightly, it is difficult to imagine the lengths people would go for it. Shiddat is not only a story about love but the distance one travels for it.”

Lootcase

Comedy Lootcase was postponed a number of times before getting a release date in April which had to be postponed again due to the coronavirus. Now the movie, which sees characters on the hunt for a mysterious red suitcase, will come to a digital streamer soon.
