While it may not be what many players were looking for, June’s research breakthrough reward is the Pokemon, Trapinch. Some Pokemon GO players may remember its community day from October of 2019, which wasn’t too long ago. Trapinch evolves into Vibrava, which then evolves into the dual dragon and ground-type, Flygon.

Players may be satisfied by the encounter rewards for this month’s field research task with plenty of shiny opportunities for popular Pokemon such as Magikarp and Charmander.

Field Tasks

The current field research tasks for the month of June and their encounter rewards are:

After completing 7 field research tasks, players will get a research breakthrough reward that will include 2,000 stardust, an encounter with a level 15 Trapinch, 3,000 XP points, and either 3 rare candies, 5 pinap berries, 20 Pokeballs, 5 Ultra Balls, a Sinnoh stone, or an Unova stone.

While a lot of time has passed, Pokemon GO players are strongly urged to play safely and follow proper social distancing while outside. There are plenty of options allowing players to participate in June’s activities without putting themselves at risk.
